What does everyone think of the rumors that they are taking out the Finding Nemo Submarine Adventure and downsizing Autopia to make way for a Star Wars themed area?
I personally enjoy the Nemo attraction, and I don't often take a drive on Autopia, but I know it is a right of passage for many children when they visit Disneyland.
I am all for new stuff at Disneyland, I would hate to see Nemo go away, but a Star Wars area to Tomorrowland would be cool, especially if we get a new cutting edge, thrilling E-ticket attraction.
What are your thoughts?

I know that captain EO is a great classical movie and I would recommend seeing it at least once, but since it isn't as popular with today's crowd maybe they should think of finally retiring it. Maybe they should extend the Star Wars theme within that building and make Nemo like a walk through aquarium, and totally ditch the sub idea. This in my eyes would appease both sides. And make for better attractions for all.

I personally would welcome Star Wars theme lands and Marvel lands!! I so can not wait until they offer character dining with both, especially at Star Wars weekends. One would simply think they would have done that already!

I am all for change and expansion but I heard that Autopia would be completely going away with the new Star Wars area. Has anyone else heard this? I can see that the subs have reached the end of their usefulness but as Bryant mentioned Autopia is a right of passage for kids. I can't recall the last time that I went on it so I guess that says something too.
I am reluctant to open my arms wide to a Star Wars land. Is that what our future is? Doesn't show much imagination to just latch onto a movie and claim that is our "tomorrow".
Personally I would like to see something TRON based. A light cycle themed attraction would be my ultimate, but that is just a pipe dream since rider capacity wouldn't be all that great.

Let's face it, the original intent of Tomorrowland died a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. It should be called "Sci-Fi Land" I don't think it will ever return to a land with a vision of tomorrow.
There are two versions of this rumor floating around:
One would see the complete removal of Autopia, the other has a scaled down version of the ride. I would personally put more weight into the second scenario because as stated Autopia is a classic attraction that is in nearly every "Magic Kingdom" park in the Disney line up.
I also think I read about the entrance to Autopia being moved to near it's a small world and it being absorbed into Fantasyland.
Only time will tell!

Kind of interesting how adamant Disney is being about the subs returning. Such a costly attraction. So it seems not much change in Tomorrowland for now.

With the announcement today that the Subs reopen in September, looks like that part of the rumor is either untrue or delayed.
