Mine so far is Red Lion. Have only stayed there once and it was during my most recent visit. Great staff. Everyone is very friendly. Clean rooms. Amazing views. Close (relatively) to the resort. Walked back to the hotel most nights after the park.

Good to hear! They are a Good Neighbor Hotel and every time I try and book them they are sold out, so that is a good sign! Got any room pics to share?

Unfortunately I only have pictures of the view not the room itself.

I've stayed at The Castle Inns & Suites, Camelot Inns & Suites, Travelodge and Quality Inn. I think, over all, the Quality Inn was my favorite with Travelodge being 2nd place. The walk from Camelot and Castle Inns was shorter but the beds at the Castle Inn were ROCK HARD and hurt my back. And I don't have "back problems". Camelot was nice, and for people who care about being super close, I guess it would be nice but I don't mind walking so I'm not going to pay their prices just for a shortened walk. I enjoyed Travelodge immensely but the walk was longer than Quality Inn so for people who are concerned about that, it may be an issue (although the ART stops right in front of the Travelodge). The grounds at the Quality Inn were so lovey - they had gardens and really nice foliage between the buildings and the walkways. The rooms were small but well-appointed and the beds comfortable. I thought they had a nice selection for their breakfast, heavy on the carbs but some hard boiled eggs and yogurt as well. I could see how, if your room was one that bordered the freeway, noise might be an issue. It was about a 10 minute walk for us with the stroller, from the hotel to the security line, so I thought it was plenty close. The only other place I could see Quality Inn being an issue is that it's a 2 story property but there is no elevator. So people with mobility issues, or strollers containing sleeping children upon returning from the park could be problematic if you're on the second floor.
